Mark your calendars! On Monday October 31^st WFS will hold its 1^st Fall Literacy Festival. Each class will choose an author or book to focus on for students to dress in costume. Details will be sent home separately by your child’s teacher. Students will also study this author/book closely in class leading up to the festival. We will begin the morning with an all school parade around 8:45 AM. Any parents available to stay for the parade are welcome. Students will then spend the rest of the morning participating in fun activities, including cooking, face-painting, and more! But we can’t let the children have all of the fun. Any parents able to stay longer that morning are invited to participate in our Classroom Door Decorating Contest. Each class needs at least 2 parents to decorate the class door according to the class theme. If you are available and interested in participating, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible to begin planning so that we can have the needed materials available.
